Important Note: I used to be part of the fandom, but I no longer am (ever since I learned about the Jorge allegations and also because of my negative experience with the fans)!! I will not remove these stamps since they show something that was important to me for a couple of months, but I want to make it clear that I don't support what Jorge and his fans stand for.
If you do not know, Jorge has some "allegations" (fans of his claim they're allegations but they've been proven true) of having been an abusive and emotionally manipulative boyfriend to a girl called Emily who he dated in college. He's also pro-life and, according to his ex, transphobic as well. Fans of his try to minimize this by saying things like "it's not that serious", "it happened 6 years ago", "Emily just wants to be famous", "he hasn't spoken about it so it's not out business", etc. It is shocking how this is not a couple of children being stupid; this is the overall consensus in the fandom. And I will not participate in it. All abuse is important, including emotional manipulation.
Furthermore, the fandom seems unable to process fandom etiquette and what the sentences "don't like, don't read" and "fiction is not reality" mean, and regularly harrasses and supports doxxing people for shipping anything other than canon. Also a reminded that this is a story set in Ancient Greece, and also that the ships affected are not even problematic most of the time, even though they claim it is (biggest example is Sharpwolf, a royal and noble enemies to lovers whose dynamic can't even qualify for abuser x victim because both of them are shown to have equal strength in canon). They care more about fictional characters getting raped (which they don't, by the way) than real people suffering because of their hate.
Anyway, all to say that I'm still in love with the story and characters that were introduced to me. I've come to learn a lot about Ancient Greece and mythology, and my current OTP now is ship between Antinous and Telemachus, especially the Nice AU I made for them, so I have moved from the EPIC:TM fandom to the Sharpwolf and Odyssey fandoms.
Yes, all that yap for 6 stamps lol. I take the situation with the seriousness I think it deserves.
